Nina Ricci releases "Miracle Perfume" Eau de Parfum

Nov 16, 2014

Nina Ricci has released the "L'Air du Temps" eau de parfum (14,000 yen). Launched in 1948, L'Air du Temps is a fragrance described by Roberto Ricci as "containing a small miracle." The fragrance is a spicy floral blend of carnation, jasmine, and centifolia rose. Francis Fabron, a master perfumer from Grasse in southern France, incorporated all the elements of traditional perfumery while using only 30 ingredients at a time when 150 were the norm, creating a rich and sophisticated fragrance. The Lalique bottle is crafted from crystal, combining the brilliance of the body with the matte texture of a dove. This modern sculpture, created at the Uyggen-Sermoder factory in Alsace, became a popular design in the 1970s, appearing in the Crystal collection. In 1999, it was recognized as the finest crystal bottle of the 20th century, and a miniature version has also been produced.
