Sakimoto, the high-end bread specialty store that has customers lining up, has released the "Sakimoto Winter Gift Set." Pre-orders began on November 20th.
The "Sakimoto Winter Gift Set" is here, filled with carefully selected ingredients that go perfectly with bread!
The gift set being released this time includes "raw pepper," which is rare in Japan, extra virgin olive oil blended to complement Sakimoto's bread, as well as their signature bread and jewel jam.
Details about the "Salted Fresh Pepper" and "Sakimoto Extra Virgin Olive Oil" that are unique to this gift set are as follows.
"Salted Fresh Pepper" (28g)
Pepper grown on a completely pesticide-free, organic pepper farm in Cambodia is picked early and sun-dried with carefully selected salt. These raw peppers are made from green peppers that are not yet fully ripe, salted, and have a fresh aroma and refreshing spiciness. The moment you put them in your mouth, the aroma of pepper and the spicy heat spread, along with a crisp, crunchy texture. If you want to enjoy them with bread, we recommend an open sandwich topped with fresh pepper on bacon and egg or egg salad. Enjoy the vivid aroma and spiciness that only fresh pepper can provide.
"Sakimoto's Extra Virgin Olive Oil" (100ml)
This original extra virgin olive oil is a blend of Sicilian, Italy, and domestic olives, created by a sommelier specializing in olive oil, to complement Sakimoto's bread. The Italian olives are organically grown and then picked early, and are air-shipped to ensure they remain fresh when made into oil. The domestic olive oil is extremely rare and extremely fresh, coming from Kunisaki Cleeve Garden on the Kunisaki Peninsula in Oita Prefecture, which has a climate similar to the Mediterranean Sea, with a domestic production rate of only 0.06%. It has a fruity sweetness and a mild, unobtrusive taste, making it an olive oil that enhances the flavor of toast and even bread when poured over it.
We recommend trying both with the Sakimoto bread included in the set.
