
Sweets & Deli, the pastry shop at Palace Hotel Tokyo, will be selling limited-edition cherry blossom sweets and cherry blossom bread from March 15th to April 20th.
"Sakura" (680 yen including tax) is a cherry blossom-colored macaron filled with plenty of berries, cherry blossom bean paste, and raspberry cream. "Sakura Macaron" (1 piece / 259 yen including tax, set of 3 / 972 yen including tax, set of 6 pieces / 1,944 yen including tax) is a macaron sandwiched with subtly sweet cherry blossom cream, decorated with white chocolate and gold and silver leaf.
"Petal" (648 yen including tax) is a glass dessert made of strawberry mousse with just the right amount of sweet and sour, topped with jelly containing cherry blossom petals. "Ichinoichinoichi Sakura" (3,600 yen including tax) is a special version of the popular sake cake "Ichinoichinoichi," made with the hotel's original Junmai Ginjo sake and Hakkaisan sake lees, with the addition of cherry blossom leaves. It is a masterpiece with a subtle cherry blossom flavor.
Other breads available include "Sakura Brioche Melon Bread" (270 yen including tax), which is made by wrapping cherry blossom bean paste in a crispy brioche dough and covering it with cherry blossom-flavored cookie dough, and "Sakura Cream Horn" (324 yen including tax), which is made by wrapping cherry blossom cream containing griotte cherries in a croissant dough with a mellow buttery aroma.
