A new MASHICO Peanuts series that colorfully depicts the world of the comic from the early days of serialization

MASHICO is a pottery brand that produces Mashiko ware, a traditional craft produced in the area around Mashiko Town, Haga District, Tochigi Prefecture. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the comic strip "PEANUTS," created by Charles M. Schulz, six new tableware items have been added to the MASHICO Peanuts series.

A new yellow glaze inspired by Charlie Brown has been added to the traditional Mashiko glaze, creating a colorful depiction of the world of the early PEANUTS comic strips. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Peanuts, Mashiko ware plates and tumblers are each glazed with images of scenes from the early comic strips that ran from 1950 to 1953, including items themed around Charlie Brown and Snoopy's "firsts."
