Parajumpers (PJS), a rescue and military team, returns to Japan

Dec 2, 2020
Italian luxury outdoor brand Parajumpers (PJS) has begun sales in Japan, preparing for a full-scale expansion. This fall/winter season, the brand will be available primarily through pop-ups at select stores, including Barneys New York, with plans to expand sales areas by adding women's items next season.

PJS was launched in 2006 by Italian company APE & Partner, featuring a collection inspired by the 210th Rescue Team, based in Anchorage, Alaska, USA, and designed by Massimo Rossetti. The durable nylon, cargo pocket, and waterproof jackets have a dedicated fan base in Japan, and are known for their iconic hook collar and yellow straps.

The details, which mix with outdoor items such as military wear, firefighter jackets, and backpacks, are designed to store items such as smartphones, cameras, and other IT devices, as well as sunglasses, making it suitable for a wide range of users' "journey" needs.

This fall/winter collection focuses on a line that evolves the brand's signature model known as "Masterpiece." The collection features urban models designed by Leonardo Fasolo, a student of Massimo Osti.
