IKEA Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of IKEA, a Swedish home furnishing company with a vision of "creating a better everyday life for the many people," will open IKEA Shibuya on November 30, 2020.

IKEA Shibuya will be IKEA's second urban store, following IKEA Harajuku, which opened in June. As IKEA's first seven-story store in Japan, it features an expanded sales floor to accommodate a wider range of customers. The space has been designed to allow customers to discover a wide variety of urban living solutions, while experiencing the excitement of traditional IKEA stores. IKEA Shibuya will also feature a toy and play equipment section, a first for a city store (urban store), providing even more enjoyment for families.
The sales floors from the 1st to 6th floors are scheduled to open on November 30th, and the restaurant floor on the 7th floor is scheduled to open in spring 2021.
To ensure that customers can enjoy shopping with peace of mind, we will be implementing thorough COVID-19 infection prevention measures in accordance with government guidelines.
To commemorate the grand opening, a pre-opening event will be held on November 27th and 28th, exclusively for IKEA Family members, allowing them to enjoy shopping early. Special member prices will also be available for these two days. Participation in the pre-opening event is limited to those who make a reservation in advance.
