Fukuoka Mitsukoshi's cosmetics department is seeing a strong sales performance, with sales for the first half of the current fiscal year (April to September 2013) up 5% compared to the previous year. The department is strengthening its lineup of premium cosmetics, which drive sales. The "Mitsukoshi Cosmetics Premium Collection" will be held from November 19th to December 16th.

As each cosmetics manufacturer has increased sales by 20-30% compared to the previous year, the store is offering 12 brands of cosmetics on the first floor as Christmas gifts and as a treat for yourself. Items on sale include Guerlain's premium serum, "Orchidee Impérial The Treatment" (¥157,500), Kanebo's prestige line, "Impress Grande Muller Cream" (¥126,000), and Hakuhodo's Wajima Lacquerware Mushroom Brush Set (¥105,000).
