
Italian furniture brand Cassina ixc. will open a limited-edition store, "X-Christmas/Kiss/Collaboration," at its Aoyama flagship store from November 11th to December 25th.
The store will feature Cassina ixc.'s first fashion collaboration project, produced by Eiji Hatanaka, president of HOLOGRAM INC. The store will feature exclusive items created in collaboration with over 10 brands, all in one place. The store will offer a wide selection of items that combine the specialties of interior design, fashion, and art.
AKANE UTSUNOMIYA is offering the brand's first doll (gray/17,000 yen, mint green/20,000 yen), made using the brand's standard materials, as well as cushions (gray/33,000 yen, mint green/40,000 yen), made using the same materials and featuring a key charm inspired by Ettore Sottsass, a design that symbolizes this season's collection.
Kvadrat/RAF SIMONS, a collaborative line between RAF SIMONS and Kvadrat, has prepared a Cassina IXC chair upholstered in the same line's fabric, as well as clutch bags (M/27,000 yen, L/24,000 yen) and pouches (25,000 yen) made using the same fabric. Additionally, men's haircare brand CHET will be selling a limited-edition gift package box containing a shampoo inspired by Earl Grey, a favorite of British gentlemen, and a conditioner and wax scented with Sicilian lemons, inspired by Italian gentlemen. Other items on offer at the Aoyama flagship store include FACETASM dog wear, leashes, and other pet goods, KEIKO HITOTSUYAMA limited-edition accessory bags featuring Swarovski crystals designed by Maison Martin Margiela, and MINEDENIM limited-edition cushions made from its original denim fabric with cashmere woven into the weft. ONAR will be selling neck warmers (¥50,000), Ryan McGinley will be selling Over Art fabrics (¥98,000) that can be used for bedspreads, tapestries, and interior covers, and TOMWOOD will be selling items selected with a one-mile coordination perspective.
TAKASHI KUMAGAI will offer a limited edition Christmas wreath (12,300 yen) with a crescent moon motif. TOMOYUKI YONEZU will sell a snow globe (3,800 yen) that adults can enjoy. The Japanese edition of The New York Times Style Magazine, which is included with the Sunday edition of The New York Times, will also participate, offering the September to November issue of T JAPAN (500 yen), which is distributed exclusively to a target demographic. A luxurious art plate (12,000 yen) featuring Robert Mapplethorpe's "Tulip" motif will also be available.
In addition, special programs with participating brands and creators will be held during the event.
