Acne to release limited edition scarf to celebrate opening of first flagship store in Japan, illustrated by Benjamin Seidler

Dec 10, 2012

Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios will release a limited edition scarf to commemorate the opening of its first flagship store in Japan in Aoyama on Friday, December 14th. It will be available for purchase at the new Aoyama store and the brand's official online store. The scarf is priced at 32,000 yen. The scarf features Stockholm City Hall, the classic "Hand of God" statue by renowned Swedish sculptor Carl Milles, Stockholm-born actress Greta Garbo, and the Acne Studios headquarters. The illustrations are by British illustrator Benjamin Seidler. Based on the new store's concept of "bringing something Swedish to Tokyo," the design is inspired by the scarves depicting historical monuments often seen in souvenir shops in European cities.

The prints are done by a factory in the Como region of Lombardy, Italy, which is famous for its prints and silk, and the material is high-quality Italian silk.
