MM6 | THE NORTH FACE, a capsule collection in partnership with THE NORTH FACE, which was unveiled at MM6 Maison Margiela's 2020-21 Fall/Winter collection show, will be released on October 12th.
This capsule collection focuses on the technology and functionality of The North Face's signature Expedition System, an innovative system with detachable features for harsh weather, and combines its original design with MM6's conceptual ideas. Building on the unique qualities of both the MM6 collection and the Expedition System, the collection offers even greater protection and insulation.
Key styles symbolizing the collaboration include the Himalayan coat with a detachable hood, as well as the cape-style Mountain jacket and the compact Nuptse jacket.
The collection features exclusive items crafted from authentic textiles that combine ultimate functionality with the sculptural circular silhouette that is characteristic of MM6.
In addition to outerwear, the accessories are also a must-see.
The lineup is sure to sell out just like the outerwear, including the Nuptse scarf, which can also be worn as a garment, mitten-style long gloves reminiscent of the Maison's iconic "Tabi," and a circular backpack and clutch bag modeled after The North Face's Base Camp duffel.
The collection will be available at MM6 Maison Margiela's Omotesando, Shibuya Parco, and Kanazawa stores, Barneys New York's Ginza, Roppongi, and Kobe stores, and Edition's Lumine Shinjuku and Grand Front Osaka stores, as well as on the capsule collection's special website MM6 l THE NORTH FACE (https://exclusive-mm6maisonmargiela.jp/), The North Face special website, Isetan Shinjuku, Hankyu Umeda, and Edition's special websites. Sales will begin at 10am on the release date on each online shop.
