Yoshio Kubo releases documentary movie following his first overseas show, featuring Giorgio Armani

Jun 8, 2017

A behind-the-scenes documentary has arrived from yoshiokubo's first-ever overseas runway show, held in Milan, Italy in January. The brand was selected as a guest designer for Armani Teatro, a program sponsored by Giorgio Armani, a prestigious Italian fashion designer, to present its Fall/Winter 2017-18 men's collection, "yoshiokubo FW17 MILAN MENSWEAR SHOW," on the final day of Milan Fashion Week. The documentary, which follows the show, begins with the model casting that took place a few days before the show, and cuts into various aspects of the show, including fitting and rehearsals, backstage scenes attended by Armani and other Italian fashion industry figures, and the tense atmosphere of the show itself. Set to the dynamic and hard-hitting music of Metallica, which was also used in the show, the approximately eight-minute documentary unfolds these rare and rare scenes. The film was shot by Italian art director Filippo di Pretoro, a friend of designer Yoshio Kubo.
