Adidas has announced a long-term partnership with musician Pharrell Williams. The adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams collaboration will debut this summer. Williams is working with Parley for the Oceans on The Vortex Project, which aims to recycle plastic from the ocean into yarn and fiber. Williams also owns and operates a textile company called Bionic Yarn, which will feature products in some of the adidas Originals collaboration pieces. "From growing up in Virginia, from tracksuits to Stan Smiths, adidas has been an integral part of my life. This partnership is exciting for me and for Bionic Yarn," Williams said in a statement.

Bionic Yarn's recycled yarn and fabric are used in footwear, outerwear, apparel, bags, and more, and the company has partnered with brands such as Cole Haan, Moncler, GAP, and G-Star RAW.
