Model and talent Rola was born on March 30, 1990, in Tokyo. Her father is Bangladeshi and her mother is quarter Japanese and quarter Russian. She was born in Japan and soon moved to Bangladesh, where she attended an American school. She returned to Japan at age nine and was scouted and entered the entertainment industry while in high school. She began appearing as a reader model for the fashion magazine Popteen in 2007 and became an exclusive model for ViVi in 2008. From 2009 to 2011, she appeared in fashion shows such as Shibuya Girls Collection and Tokyo Girls Collection. Since around 2010, she has appeared more frequently on television programs, gaining popularity for her free-spirited personality and casual manner. She has previously served as an image model for fashion brands such as Samantha Thavasa and lingerie brand Peach John, and is currently featured in an advertising campaign for the American brand Rebecca Minkoff. She has also released a fragrance under her own brand, Vasilisa.
