We Make Carpets is a creative collective that creates intricate and original installations using everyday objects and building materials. Their works are created by carefully arranging a vast number of materials one by one, creating complex yet harmonious patterns that spread out like a carpet, filling the space. Since their formation in 2009, the group has explored expression based on the concept of each project, and their work has been highly acclaimed in museums and galleries around the world.

This exhibition will expand on the installation "Fold and Crease," which was unveiled at the Milan flagship store, ISSEY MIYAKE / MILAN, during Milan Design Week in April 2024, and will also feature new works. The installation, inspired by the craftsmanship and textile characteristics inherent in ISSEY MIYAKE's clothing production, will bring a new look to the space, including "Skewer Carpet 2," which features 60,000 bamboo skewers with colored tips that have been hand-tied and lined up one by one.

Familiar everyday objects are arranged in an orderly manner, but are dressed in colors and patterns to create unexpected visual rhythms ——. Behind this scene, we can see a gaze that questions the hidden possibilities of objects and the creativity that comes from handcrafting. Why not take this opportunity to experience extraordinary scenes made from everyday materials?
