COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT presented its SS17 collection at its Paris showroom. The collection featured elaborate pieces utilizing appliqué and patchwork. Striped and camouflage patchwork shirts and belted jacket-style shirts featured military details like pockets and epaulets. Next came shirts with bizarre illustration prints. This was a collaboration with New York-based artist Noah Lyon, who also created T-shirts exclusive to Dover Street Market this year. Belts were frequently used as accents, some with military-inspired designs and others reminiscent of straitjackets. A series of patchwork shirts, combining various fabrics such as stripes and checks, also featured raw edges on the patchwork, leaving them unfinished. Shirts featuring appliquéd geometric motifs exude exceptional craftsmanship.

The bustier-like item that appeared towards the end of the show even gave off a somewhat cute feeling.
