Gucci's interior collection "Gucci Décor" is themed around Roman souvenirs for 2020

New items have been released for 2020 in Gucci's interior collection, Gucci Décor.

The Gucci Décor collection reflects Creative Director Alessandro Michele's eclectic and romantic aesthetic and offers interior goods incorporating various motifs symbolizing Gucci.
Rather than following a conventional interior style, the collection offers items that allow each individual to freely customize and enjoy their own living space.

One of the new themes added to the 2020 Gucci Décor collection is "Souvenir from Rome." This series is inspired by the beautiful and luxurious marble decorations of the Capitoline Museums in Rome, where Gucci's Cruise 2020 fashion show was held, and features the marble motif used in the show's invitations. The Gucci Décor collection features hand-painted marble images on porcelain items such as square and newly added star-shaped ashtrays, round boxes, and lidded candle holders, as well as folding metal tables, round metal trays, wallpaper, and folding screens.

Note the script GG and the text "Souvenir from Rome" that appear in the designs of this series.
This new marble-motif series also embodies the allure of Gucci Décor, created with exceptional craftsmanship. Every piece in the collection is Made in Italy, celebrating Italy's rich artistic culture and its great artisanal tradition.

A prime example is the collection of porcelain made by Richard Ginori, a historic porcelain manufacturer founded in Florence in 1735. Gucci's captivating porcelain is crafted using skilled handwork and advanced firing processes, and much of it is hand-painted.

New additions to the tableware collection include a green herbarium pattern Asian teacup and a black "Maison de l'Amour" coffee pot.

The dining table is the heart of the home, where the family gathers. Gucci Décor has created an antique-style cloche (dome-shaped plate cover) made of silver-plated brass, as a new accessory to luxuriously enjoy everyday meals. Reminiscent of the dining tables of ancient aristocratic mansions, the cloche will add an eccentric touch to modern life. There are five different cloches available, each engraved with a different word or phrase, such as "Gucci Orgasmique" or "Maison de l'Amour," and customers can personalize their own with their initials.

The rabbit and wolf heads are inspired by the decorative silver stirrup cups (sake cups used on horseback during hunting and other activities) used in 18th and 19th century England and Scotland.
Each cloche undergoes 10 production steps before being laser-engraved with text and hand-finished by artisans to give it a vintage look. Each piece also features handles inspired by Gucci's archive motifs: a hare, a hand, a snake, a wolf, and a pomegranate.

The porcelain collection also introduces a number of new patterns and designs, embellished with text and slogans on items such as candle holders and flower-shaped boxes. One notable new motif is Gucci's famous Flora print. This vibrantly colored seasonal floral print was originally designed by artist Vittorio Accornero in 1966 for a Gucci silk scarf given to Princess Grace of Monaco. This historic decorative motif adorns a black lidded candle holder adorned with elegant white porcelain butterflies. The holders are available in two base colors: pastel pink and pale blue. Both are adorned with the gothic "Gucci" inscription and XXV (Roman numeral 25), Creative Director Alessandro Michele's lucky number. Additionally, a new design features the star eye, a classic Gucci Décor motif. The new design combines a black and white star eye motif with vibrant rainbow beams, surrounded by colorful stars. This design adorns a porcelain star-shaped ashtray and three types of black snake-handled mugs (the handle design is inspired by a similar shape in the archives of Richard Ginori in Florence).

Also, don't miss the Gucci x Disney collaboration, which is being held to celebrate 2020 being the Year of the Rat. Items unique to Gucci Decor, featuring catchy and adorable Mickey Mouse designs, are now on sale.
The Disney collaboration lineup includes porcelain mugs with lids, round boxes, and ashtrays.
In addition to tableware, you'll want to check out the fabric goods as well.

Tartan check is one of the motifs that stands out in the collection. The blanket is reversible, with tartan check on one side and diagonal stripes with an interlocking G woven in jacquard on the other. There are types with fringe, embroidered patches, and satin trim, each featuring tartan check in different colors and designs. Tartan check also appears on cushions. One is a square cushion decorated with tartan and animal patches, with a colorful moire backing. The animal patches, including an illustration of a fawn by artist Nathalie Lete, are hand-sewn onto each cushion over a period of four hours. There is also a large square cushion with a tartan back and an elegant velvet front. The velvet side features a surreal square G & cloud pattern and is available in two color variations: green and blue. The bouquet GG motif, combining colorful and beautiful flowers with the double G, is a contemporary reinterpretation by Alessandro Michele of a design from the Gucci archives. The new Gucci Décor collection features the Bouquet GG motif, reminiscent of vintage carpets and tapestries, on cushions and armchairs.

The square cushions come in two colors, green and blue, and both feature decorative tassels on the corners. The armchairs also come in the same colors, and feature colored cotton fringe adorning the underside of the seat and brass nailhead details.

The Gucci Décor collection also offers wallpaper and made-to-order folding screens for those who want to create a more personalized and unique private space.
