For the Fall/Winter 2020 season, Givenchy will be adding new colors and unique additions to its Antigona Soft line of iconic bag collections, the Antigona.
Named after a princess in Greek mythology, the Antigona Soft embodies the understated yet uninhibited mood of the Fall/Winter 2020 collection. Crafted from supple calfskin with classic, seasonal finishes, the Antigona Soft retains the distinctive placement of elements, oversized zippers, and pentagonal patches of the original Antigona, while offering a more relaxed, slouchy feel.
Rooted in Givenchy Couture's tradition of "relaxed elegance" and "the fusion of masculine and feminine," the Antigona Soft is characterized by its generous volume and shape, which is as effortless as your favorite leather jacket and functional for both work and play. Furthermore, on the runway, the bag was worn with a large, contrasting silk scarf wrapped around the handle. The graphic accents make a strong impact, while still maintaining a casual image.
The Antigona Soft is a bag that emphasizes relaxed style while also boasting impeccable style and practicality. The medium and large sizes feature smooth calfskin body and feature a spacious double-zippered main compartment, an inner pocket for cards and other valuables, side straps with turn-lock closures, double top handles, and a detachable shoulder strap for versatile carrying. The small size also boasts all the essential features, including a zippered main compartment, card pockets, and an adjustable, detachable strap.
In addition to the classic black and pearl gray colors, new styles this season include graphic houndstooth patterns and extra-soft calf leather, which blend seamlessly with ready-to-wear looks. Two-tone hand-pleated leather offers a more dressy look. The new series will be available at Givenchy stores from September 2020.
