ROSE LABO Inc. (hereinafter referred to as ROSE LABO), which grows pesticide-free "edible roses," has collaborated with makeup artist Kibe Akemi to develop "Rose Lip Gloss," which will be available at the Isetan Shinjuku store from September 16, 2020. It will also be available on the ROSE LABO official online store from October 2, 2020.
This is the first cosmetic collaboration between ROSE LABO, which develops natural skincare, and Kibe Akemi, a hair and makeup artist affiliated with PEACE MONKEY. This tinted lip serum is made from 98% naturally derived ingredients and combines gentleness with trendy texture and color. "Rose Lip Gloss" was born from the fusion of nature and functionality.
Profile of Hair & Makeup Artist Kibe Akemi
Originally from Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture, where ROSE LABO's roses are grown. She does hair and makeup for numerous actresses and models, primarily for beauty and fashion magazines, and is also active in event appearances and writing. A fan of ROSE LABO's skincare products, she shares ROSE LABO's concept of "making women shine 24 hours a day," which led to this collaboration.

"Rose Lip Gloss" is made with 98% natural ingredients and contains 18 types of moisturizing and beautifying ingredients. Seven free ingredients were included, and development was conducted while monitoring sensitive, dry, and oily skin types. Ayaka Tanaka, the developer and CEO of ROSE LABO, says, "I've experienced natural glosses that don't offer the full color payoff, or that can irritate the lips when you want a more pigmented look." Having experienced endless troubles with her own sensitive skin, she created "Rose Lip Gloss" by combining natural ingredients with functionality, hoping to make makeup enjoyable even with natural cosmetics.
