On June 12th, the final day of London Fashion Week Men's, Vivienne Westwood presented her Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Following on from last season, this season's show combined men's and women's shows. The show took place in a gymnasium located on the north side of Hyde Park. The show kicked off with a live performance by British jazz duo Levent & Taylor and British singer Mic Righteous. Vivienne Westwood's commitment to spreading ethical messages was encapsulated in this season's collection. The opening look featured a rainforest print on a natural white background. Small black circles, resembling animal spots, symbolize the endlessly increasing number of zeros. A graphic print also featured the same message in black lettering. The playing card symbol patterns and makeup featured prominently in the middle of the show each had their own meaning. "Hearts" represent love and freedom; "diamonds" represent greed and corruption; "clovers" represent war; and "spades" represent megacorporations that violate the Earth. This season, with a rich variety of patterns beyond just playing cards, the runway was adorned with a variety of visuals, including British-style checks, dresses printed with paintings, and designs made with discarded fabric scraps. Looks like jet-black dresses with the crisp, glossy feel of garbage bags and net tights with empty cans and other trash sandwiched between them attempted to raise social issues. Not only models but also performers walked the runway. With acrobatic moves like handstands, spins, hula hoops, and piggyback rides, the venue was transformed beyond a fashion show into a circus. A fantastical world unfolded, with male models wearing dresses, female models wearing men's suits, and even twin models walking in perfect unison, creating a magical world. For the finale, Vivienne Westwood appeared on the shoulders of a performer. The venue reached a climax of excitement, and the magic was broken with applause.
