It is the power of creation that brings joy and hope to our daily lives as we encounter the unknown. The 24th installment of FASHION HEADLINE's creator series, "Our Fashion Story," features Alaïa.

This time, the collection itself was essentially shaped by the idea of showing at an American art museum. It exudes the vibe of American sportswear, combining comfort and practicality, and traces the legacy of American fashion masters like Adrian, Halston, Charles James, and Claire McCardell. It's American beauty, with a sculptural dimension born from Azzedine and my own obsessions. Geometric forms are sublimated into circular, square, and spiraling fabrics, enveloping the body in double-faced cashmere, fine knits, sculptural poplin, and silk taffeta.

A dynamic, stripped-back simplicity: no zippers, no buttons. Some looks appear to float in the air, almost by magic, thanks to hidden internal structures. A couture study of Americana styles – denim, T-shirts, sportswear – is translated into clothing.

The collection is modern yet respectful of tradition. It celebrates the American ideology of dress and, through it, the spirit that unites New York and Paris: the liberated body in motion. As always, Alaïa. With Love
