F&A Aqua Holdings, operator of the jewelry brand "4°C," will change its name to "YONDOSHI HOLDINGS." The change is scheduled for September 1st.
F&A Aqua Holdings is a holding company consisting of four companies: F.D.C. Products, which primarily operates a jewelry business; ASTY, which also operates a wholesale business focusing on apparel and bags; Misuzu, which operates an apparel SPA business; and AGE, which operates a retail business in the fashion sector. In September 2009, ASTY acquired F.D.C. Products as a wholly owned subsidiary and changed its name to its current name.
Since the group's establishment, the company has shifted its main business model from wholesale to retail and has been actively developing new markets, including overseas markets. In 2009, 4°C launched its premium brand "EAUDOUCE 4°C" and select jewelry brand "canal 4°C," as well as the full-scale operation of "Shanghai 4°C." Furthermore, in 2010, the company expanded its bridal jewelry line "4°C BRIDAL" and launched an online shop.
Consolidated results for the fiscal year ending February 2013 showed net profit of 2.785 billion yen, up 41.4% from the previous year, marking the highest profit in 21 years. Going forward, the company will change its name with the aim of evolving into a company closer to customers, with 4°C at the core, and will aim to increase its presence and recognition as a global fashion creation company.
