In addition to classic items like Taiwanese rakugan and pineapple confectionery, we also carry modern products created in collaboration with designers. https://www.instagram.com/kuoyuanye.nihonbashi/
Following our first pop-up store in Tokyo, "Shibuya Scramble Square," we will be opening a one-week limited-time store in the "Food Collection" on the first basement floor of Shinjuku Isetan, a sweets hub, from August 12, 2020. This is the season to express gratitude, and we are pleased to introduce gift packages from Kuo Yuanye Nihonbashi.

Taiwanese rakugan "Peace, Peace, Peace" and "Great Fortune, Great Lift"

A modern confection that is a transformation of traditional Taiwanese rakugan. In Taiwan, these popular treats are shaped like apples and mandarins, fruits that represent peace, good fortune, and wealth, and are available in pineapple oolong tea and strawberry black tea flavors. Even the sesame matcha leaves are carefully crafted, making them an auspicious gift.

[About Guo Yuan Ye]
In 1708, the ancestors of the Guo family emigrated to Taiwan from Fujian Province, China. In 1867, Guo Shuzhen opened a small pastry shop in Shilin, Taipei, using the name of her former residence in Fujian Province, "Yuan Ye."

Each treat is carefully crafted using techniques passed down through generations, and each bite is filled with a deep flavor that will transport you to memories of the good old days. Guo Yuan Yeh began as a tiny shop without even a sign, but today, it is committed to preserving Taiwanese culture and traditions, and its name, along with its beautiful sweets, is known throughout Taiwan.

While preserving its 150-year-old traditions, the shop has collaborated with emerging designers to create a variety of products. In addition, in an effort to promote tourism in Taiwan, it has developed collaborative products with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and Taipei City's mascots, creating a buzz among young people in Malaysia, Thailand, and other Asian countries.

Guo Yuan Yeh is not only Taiwan's most traditional confectionery shop, but also a symbol of modern Taiwanese cake culture.
