Marni's Pre-Fall 2017 collection features a collaboration with rainwear brand Stutterheim. The bold idea of mixing unique materials and colors with a consistent style code resulted in three men's and two women's raincoats. This exclusive collection harmonizes beautiful color contrasts, accent stripes, and sophisticated details. Based on Marni's iconic hooded cocoon coat, the raincoats are crafted from Stutterheim's signature classic and timeless rubber-coated cotton fabric. They come in rhythmic stripes, vivid color blocks, and all-over print designs. The aesthetic and spirit of both brands are evident in every detail, from the thick, water-repellent fabric to the matching snap buttons, pocket studs, and aglet strings.
Stutterheim, created by designer Alexander Stutterheim, was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2010. The brand focuses on rain outerwear that is a modern rendition of the traditional fisherman coat worn by Swedish fishermen, and has gained support for its highly durable clothing that is backed by strict quality standards.
The collaborative items will be available at Marni boutiques nationwide from late July.
