"STEP OUT! New Japanese Photographers," a group exhibition featuring 11 young photographers, will be held at IMA Gallery in Roppongi from April 28th to May 24th.
This photo exhibition is a three-dimensional version of "STEP OUT!", a special booklet in the photography magazine IMA that unearths and introduces up-and-coming Japanese photographers. The exhibition features works by photographers who employ a variety of media, including Ishikawa Kazuto and Mizuki Rui, who transform the multi-layered structure of photography into a two-dimensional form; Sato Etsuko, who creates worlds through setups; and Tayama Kosetsu, who captures the history and layers of land.
A relay talk between participating artists and a distinguished panel of reviewers will also be held on the 9th. This photo exhibition promises to allow visitors to experience the "now" of photography, which is constantly evolving.
