Currently, Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay is hosting an "Alice in Wonderland" themed sweets buffet, "Alice's Flower Tea Party - Tea Sweets Collection," until September 12th!

This time, we'll be reporting on this sweets buffet that's been getting a lot of attention for being both delicious and cute. Sweets are sweets, but flower and tea themed sweets are somehow refreshing! Check them out now ♡



“Welcome to "Alice's Flower Tea Party - Tea Sweets Collection"”

It's like a tea party in a colorful flower garden...♡

Beyond the door is a dreamland.
Lurched by the dazzling light, we check into Alice's Tea Party!
We were immediately surprised upon entering the dream tea party venue on the other side of the door. It was far more charming, beautiful, and fantastical than we'd imagined...more like a certain dreamland (!) than a hotel buffet.



The music in the background is from Alice in Wonderland, so you'll really feel like you're at the theme park! Of course, please follow the instructions of the staff and observe social distancing and rules while enjoying yourself.

Led by the sweet aroma, we headed to the long-awaited buffet table.

"Alice's Flower Tea Party ~Tea Sweets Collection~" features a lineup of refreshing sweets made with a variety of teas, including matcha, jasmine tea, Earl Grey, and Darjeeling tea, perfect for the hot season. These include drinkable desserts made with fragrant fruit tea, almond tofu with the aroma of jasmine tea, and a jelly with the exquisite flavor of white peach combined with the richness of Darjeeling tea.


First of all, the thing you definitely want to check out this time is the super cute "bunny ear sweets": "White rabbit transformed into Earl Grey and blackcurrant mousse." Both the bunny ears and the glossy coating will make your heart flutter. It's just so cute...! The golden plate the mousse sits on is also heart-shaped ♡ It's absolutely adorable.
I fell in love at first sight with the "Darjeeling and White Peach Jelly Made by a Hatter," topped with plenty of pansies and raspberries. The sweets on offer here are not only cute in appearance, but also have very cute names. Your eyes will naturally be drawn to the sweets, but be sure to take a closer look at the names of the various sweets.



From black tea to matcha to jasmine tea, it's rare to find a buffet with such a wide selection of tea-flavored sweets. The combination with edible flowers is also fantastic!

Finger sweets such as fruit pâté and macarons are also available.

By the way, as part of the COVID-19 countermeasures, staff will serve you the various food and drinks on the buffet board. If you find a sweet treat you like, don't bother trying it yourself; just ask a nearby staff member.

Needless to say, every menu item is delicious! In addition to the buffet food and drinks, table service also offers appetizers, main courses, and premium shaved ice, which are truly delicious.
The final dish of the table service is a cocktail-like shaved ice. You can choose from three sauces: mango, matcha, and roasted green tea, and toppings: shiratama (rice flour dumplings), azuki beans, mango, and berries.
