Starbucks Coffee MIYASHITA PARK will open on August 4th in Miyashita Park, a new landmark in Shibuya. This will be the fifth Starbucks store in Tokyo's parks.

The Starbucks Coffee MIYASHITA PARK store will open on August 4th. The store design concept is based on "overseas gas stations."
"Miyashita Park" is a new type of mixed-use facility that combines Miyashita Park, a commercial facility, and a hotel. The newly renovated rooftop space, "Miyashita Park," will house the beloved skate rink and bouldering wall, as well as a new multi-purpose sports facility and an expansive lawn for hosting events. The only Starbucks store located within the newly reborn park is the "Starbucks Coffee Miyashita Park Store." The store was designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment, and his unique ideas and balance have resulted in a completely new style of Starbucks. The store's appearance resembles a box placed in the middle of a vast vacant lot, and its two fully opening glass doors on both the front and side of the store are distinctive. The store's concept is clearly reflected in the green design of the floor, which extends the greenery into the store, and the ceiling, which is made of the same mesh (wire mesh) used in the facility.

The reason for using this image is that the store is the only one located within the spacious park, which makes it reminiscent of the isolated gas stations found in the middle of endless roads overseas, and the idea was that the "incongruity" of the combination of a park, gas station, and Starbucks is what makes it interesting.

This "incongruity" is also expressed on the shelves at the back of the store where merchandise and coffee beans are lined up. It pairs well with the glass table placed in the center of the store, and the incongruity of the playful interior space and the open feeling of a park makes the time spent here even more enjoyable and fulfilling.

As you can imagine from its concept, the Starbucks Coffee MIYASHITA PARK store, which has opened in an urban park, is sure to become a beloved store where people from all over the world can drop in, quench their thirst, recharge their energy, and head off to their next destination.

In addition, the Starbucks Coffee MIYASHITA PARK store will also be selling merchandise exclusive to the store.宮城県の北端から南端まで、東北線・陸羽東線を乗り継いで をしてきました。 English: Hiroshi Fujiwara also produced the MIYASHITA PARK store exclusive merchandise. This is a design project by him, and the year-round merchandise was created in collaboration with the design collective, Fragment Design. From left to right: Bottle Logo FRGMT MYST (2,500 yen), Double Wall Sunny Bottle Black FRGMT MYST (3,200 yen), Curved Stainless Steel Bottle Matte Black FRGMT MYST (4,500 yen), Stainless Steel Logo Bottle Matte Black FRGMT MYST (4,700 yen), Stainless Steel ToGo Logo Tumbler Matte Black FRGMT MYST (3,700 yen). *Product designs are subject to change without notice.
The tumblers and other merchandise sold at this store year-round have also been produced by Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment. Five types of bottles and tumblers selected from Starbucks' popular standard items feature the store's ID, "MYST," and the "Fragment" logo, making them original designs for the store. The simple design matches the white-based store design.

In addition, T-shirts (available in two colors and four sizes) will also be sold year-round as standard merchandise, a first for Starbucks.

From left: "White FRGMT MYST T-shirt" (sizes: S, M, L, XL / 6,900 yen each), "Black FRGMT MYST T-shirt" (sizes: S, M, L, XL / 6,900 yen each) *Product designs may change without notice.
As these items are sold throughout the year, they would make a great memento of your visit to the store, or even as a gift or souvenir. Be sure to check them out when you visit Starbucks Coffee MIYASHITA PARK.
