Kyoko Tanaka x AyaBambi present Wacoal lingerie in a fashionable style. Pop-up at Shinjuku Isetan

Apr 11, 2015

Wacoal, with Numero Tokyo editor-in-chief Kyoko Tanaka as director, will open a limited-time shop called "WACOAL made in Japan mode in Japan" at The Stage on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku from the 15th to the 21st. The shop will feature the dance group AyaBambi as its image models, allowing customers to experience Wacoal's commitment to elevating underwear to a fashionable level. The shop will offer a mix of underwear brands selected by Kyoko from among Japanese-made products, allowing customers to experience the uniquely Japanese dedication to craftsmanship. The popular dance group AyaBambi will also be showcasing an original video filmed at a factory in the Hokuriku region where Wacoal sews its products. The video features the sound of sewing machines as background music, creating a sense of the dynamism of the craftsmanship process.

The venue will display bra pads from when Wacoal was founded and sewing machines used in the factory, as well as a graphical display of Wacoal's innovative advertising copy that has captured and expressed lingerie culture.

On the 15th, 18th, and 19th, creative staff from WACOAL DIA will demonstrate lingerie-making techniques. A styling talk show with Kyoko Tanaka is also scheduled for the 20th.
