The Kiss collaborates with the new Evangelion movie to release Shinji & Kaworu jewelry

Aug 21, 2013

The Kiss, which operates the matching jewelry brand "The Kiss Couples," will be releasing jewelry in collaboration with "Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo."
The black rhodium-plated silver matching rings (12,600 yen each) and necklaces (13,650 yen each) are designed to evoke the image of Unit-13 piloted by Shinji Ikari and Kaworu Nagisa, as well as the piano duet they play. When combined with the hammered finish that depicts a devastated world, a heart motif emerges, representing the bond between the two.
The pieces use the image colors of each character, with the Shinji model featuring amethyst and the Kaworu model featuring sapphire. The ring is engraved with "I realize now that I was born to meet you," while the necklace is engraved with "Good things come when we play together," an English translation of Kaworu's famous line. The items will be available for purchase on the 24th at The Kiss stores nationwide, the official The Kiss online shop, Evangelion Store Tokyo-01, and the official Evangelion online store. The smash-hit anime series "Evangelion," which first aired on television in 1995, launched the feature-length animated film series "Rebuild of Evangelion" in 2007. The third installment, "Q," released last fall, was a record-breaking hit, attracting 3.8 million viewers and grossing 5.2 billion yen. The first full-scale exhibition, "Evangelion Exhibition," featuring a total of 1,300 pieces, is currently running at Matsuya Ginza until the 26th.
