The "1700" is a made-in-USA model released in 1999. It was the first shoe to use the full-length "ABZORB" cushioning material, which boasts high shock absorption and stability, and was equipped with the abrasion-resistant rubber material "N-Durance" in the heel, making it a popular item that became a hot topic and remains highly popular even today. This Asia-made "1700," making its first comeback in 10 years since its release in 2010, uses the same sole as the U.S.A.-made "1700," faithfully recreating the stability, cushioning, and superior comfort of the original. It comes in special specifications, including high-quality synthetic leather, "LIMITED EDITION" and "new balance japan" embroidery on the heel, and a reproduction of the colorway of the U.S.A.-made "1700" that was released in Japan in 2000 as a limited run of 2,000 pairs.
