To celebrate its 15th anniversary, leather brand ISAMU KATAYAMA BACKLASH will be holding an event called "ISAMU KATAYAMA BACKLASH NIGHT 'One Decade and a Half'" at ageHa in Shinkiba, Tokyo on September 13th.

Past Backlash collections will be on display at the venue. Many artists and designers with close ties to the brand will also be making appearances, including cast members from the 2009 documentary film "ISAMU KATAYAMA: An Artisanal Life." Event merchandise such as T-shirts (2,500 yen), caps (2,000 yen), and beach towels (3,500 yen) will also be on sale. Scheduled to feature fellow designers Saburo Hamanaka (roar), Kei Takahara (Roen), Kazuyuki Kumagai (ATTACHMENT), Tomoyasu Hirano (PUERTA DEL SOL), Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, the HIATUS, LOSALIOS, Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM), and many other artists. Isamu Katayama Backlash was founded by Isamu Katayama in 1999. It began showing in Paris in Spring/Summer 2004. Throughout the year, he pursues original leathers developed from raw materials. Katayama has been described as a samurai in leather. His brand has a particularly large following among musicians, including Keith Richards, David Beckham, Nicolas Cage, and Liam Gallagher.
