Happy 10th birthday to JILL STUART! Also check out Naoko Yamazaki's serialized romance novel [Writer's Blog]

Jun 1, 2015

JILL STUART BEAUTY, which continues to inspire young girls with its sweet and cute packaging, also turned 10 this summer. A celebratory reception, which could be considered a birthday party, was held in Harajuku to celebrate the occasion. The venue was glamorous, with a sparkling chandelier. The chandelier was a creation by chandelier artist Kim Songhe, who remade cosmetics. As soon as designer JILL STUART appeared with a giant birthday cake, the excitement of the guests, who had gathered from as far away as Asia, reached a fever pitch! "Each of the products I have created over the past 10 years are like my own child, and I have always put my heart and soul into each one, hoping that for girls, each one will be like a jewel that makes them shine. It brings me great joy to see you hold and use these cosmetics and see them smile. I would like to continue creating products that make all girls beautiful and happy," she said with a smile. The "Archive Collection/Christmas Collection" showcases products from the brand's illustrious history, spanning 10 years since its debut in 2005. Seeing particularly popular items on display brings back memories with a sense of nostalgia. The counter, originally designed to resemble a pink jewelry box, will be redesigned to resemble a crystal jewelry box, lavishly embellished with crystals. Be sure to check out the limited-edition "JILL STUART 10th Anniversary Collection" (box size: W170 x D170 x H45mm, 8,500 yen, released August 31st, limited edition), which will be displayed on this brand-new counter. In September, the brand will launch an official app as a new initiative. With plans for a serialized romance novel inspired by JILL STUART beauty by Naoko Yamazaki, and other original content, the brand is even more powerful this year as it turns 10.

  • A staircase of 10 steps decorated with popular items from the past decade
  • The chandelier by Kim Songhe, created especially for this occasion, had an overwhelming presence.
  • Birthday cake with 10 candles
  • Designer Jill Sluart's words made me realize once again that these cosmetics are "for the happiness of all girls."
  • The limited edition "Cosmetic Box" that will be released in August looks just like jewelry. The one photo I managed to take in the crowded and heated venue was blurry.
