Loro Piana presents the new Giella bag for its Spring/Summer 2024 collection. It takes inspiration from the ring-shaped pendant of the same name, which has always adorned the Maison's womenswear and textile accessories. Inspired by Loro Piana's textile heritage, its form is inspired by the rings that form part of the spinning machine, which plays a vital role in processing textiles. This new model, perfect for the upcoming season, reflects the brand's essence: roots, modernity, and simplicity.

The Giella combines a strong personality and understated charm with a linear, minimalist design. Elegant, functional and timeless, its flap design features continuous, harmonious lines, as does its sungold or antique silver fastening with an ergonomic clasp (a stylish evolution of Loro Piana's pendants and a true signature detail of the bag). Its ring-shaped strap loop allows it to be worn on the shoulder or cross-body. Meticulously handcrafted in Italy, the Ghiera bag is available in a wide range of sizes, materials and colours, with a soft feel reminiscent of the Maison's signature premium cashmere.

The medium size is crafted from soft, top-quality calf leather dyed with natural pigments in Sunday Morning, Peach Suede, Dark Chocolate Licorice and Deep Kummel. The interior is gusseted for ease of use, and the contrasting nappa leather lining creates a dynamic and unexpected effect. The leather and rattan versions are masterpieces of handcrafted craftsmanship. The natural-toned straw is hand-woven on a loom in homage to the techniques used in knitting, making each piece unique and individual.

Available in small and mini sizes, these pieces offer an unparalleled sensory experience, only possible thanks to the Maison's heritage. Blending traditional roots with modernity and simplicity, the small size is available in two colourways: linen calfskin in a creamy Sunday Morning hue, and premium saddle leather in shades of dark lichen green and carpfish. The mini is crafted from linen calfskin in lotus root and black silk satin, trimmed with lustrous calfskin.
