Custom watch for the film "TENET"
Hamilton watches have long been a favorite among filmmakers and movie fans. The "Murph Watch," created for Christopher Nolan's 2014 blockbuster film "Interstellar," became a huge hit among fans. Looking back in history, Hamilton also designed the watch for Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, "2001: A Space Odyssey." This futuristic timepiece, befitting this timepiece's timeless depiction of the near future, is said to have had a major influence on the development of the Hamilton Pulsar, the world's first LED digital watch, which was released a few years after the film's release.

This project marks Hamilton's largest Hollywood film partnership yet. The production design team for "TENET" commissioned Hamilton to create a watch with special features not found in commercially available Hamilton watches. The custom watch's base model is the "Khaki Navy Below Zero," whose rugged, all-black appearance matches the worldview of the film. During the year-and-a-half-long production period, Swatch Group's Swiss labs conducted extensive technical development and prototyping, with engineers exploring how to incorporate special features into the Khaki Navy Below Zero's dial. Hamilton created dozens of prototypes to meet the design team's requests. Hamilton watchmakers were present on set to provide on-site support and ensure the custom watch's unique features worked.

Khaki Navy Below Zero Special Edition
Hamilton's creative process doesn't end with creating custom watches. To commemorate the completion of the watch that appears in "TENET," based on the "Khaki Navy Below Zero," we are announcing the "Khaki Navy Below Zero Special Edition," inspired by the film.

This special edition, featuring a lightweight titanium case, comes in two models with blue or red second hand tips, inspired by the film's theme colors. Each color is limited to 888 pieces worldwide. The number 888 pays homage to the film's title. It will be released in Japan in limited quantities on September 18th, coinciding with the film's release.

In addition, Nathan Crowley, production designer for "TENET," created a special case for this special edition, embodying the world of the film. The model with a blue second hand comes with a special blue case, while the model with a red second hand comes with a special red case.

"I've always been inspired by Hamilton's inquisitiveness and out-of-the-box thinking to create watches that do more than just tell time," said Nathan Crowley.

Sylvain Dra, CEO of Hamilton International, had this to say about the collaboration with TENET and the production of this special edition: "This was one of the most challenging and exciting collaborative projects I've ever worked on. It's a creative partnership that brings ideas to life. I look forward to seeing it in cinemas around the world."
