Shota Sometani stars in the new film "Everyone's an Esper!" directed by the eccentric director Sion Sono. It was recently announced that the solitary singer-songwriter Yasuyuki Okamura, also known as "Okamura-chan," will be performing the theme song for the film. The film is an adaptation of the popular Young Magazine manga of the same name by Kimitoku Wakasugi. Set in eastern Mikawa, Aichi Prefecture, the sci-fi comedy depicts the absurd battles and friendships between Kamogawa Yoshiro (Shota Sometani), an ordinary high school student who suddenly awakens to psychic powers, and the psychics who surround him. Yasuyuki Okamura will be writing the theme song for this film. This marks his first time writing a theme song or composition for a film. Apparently, the opportunity to be chosen came directly from director Sono. The completed song is titled "Love Message" (the single will be released on September 2nd), and will be his 30th single. Regarding his appointment, Okamura Yasuyuki commented with delight, "Youth! School! A little naughty! It was fun to write the theme song for a movie that's just like me. I'd be happy if people feel excited when they listen to this song."
