Marni's Pre-Fall 2017 collection features items created in collaboration with visual artist Sally Smart. Art is an essential element of Marni's aesthetic. For this collaboration, the brand chose Australian artist Sally Smart, who primarily uses collage techniques. This time, Smart's signature collage-based work combines diverse images and different materials to create powerful, dynamic human illustrations. These motifs are embroidered and printed on T-shirts (two women's styles, 48,000 yen each), blouses (130,000 yen), PVC bags (two styles, 48,000 yen each), tops, pullovers, and white poplin shirts. The items are scheduled to be available in Marni boutiques and online from late July.
