Keita Maruyama launches "CASA Keita," a lifestyle brand. The first product is antique tableware selected by Keita Maruyama.

Just as a single flower can transform an ordinary day into something wonderful, the same can be said for a beautiful piece of ceramic china that has stood the test of time for hundreds of years, a small, intricately embroidered cushion, a painting, or a carefully bound poetry book.
A soft towel, silver cutlery found in a market somewhere, a papier-mâché doll hand-painted by an artisan, furniture, an apron, a placemat upholstered in original textiles...
Delicious tea, fragrant incense...

I know that many of our favorite "things" can enrich our lives.

I've been collecting and making things up until now, and each one has a wonderful story to tell, so I'd like to share those stories with you through "CASA KEITA," which I'd like to introduce to you in a way that feels like it's literally "my home."

I say that fun and exciting things will help add color to your life...but basically, I'll be introducing all of my favorite things in a fun way, (lol)

I hope you'll enjoy it.

KEITA MARUYAMA is launching "CASA KEITA," a lifestyle proposal brand.

Designer Keita Maruyama offers a wide range of items, from beautiful crafts by contemporary artists to timeless antiques, interior décor featuring KEITA MARUYAMA fabrics, and books, all of which are carefully selected by the brand to suggest a lifestyle.

The first release of "CASA KEITA," which launched on the online store at 9 pm on May 8th, features a lineup centered around antique tableware that Maruyama found in Kanazawa and Kyoto. The photos were taken by Maruyama himself at his own home. We will propose table coordination ideas based on the timeless beauty of Maruyama's selection of Japanese tableware.

This is a small Kutani ware blue hand-drawn flower plate from the Taisho period. It is a beautiful small plate with the green color typical of Kutani ware. Animals are vividly depicted against a fine green arabesque pattern.
Since the patterns are all different, you'll want to collect them all. Topped with Nerikiri rice cakes from Omotesando Kikuya.

Set in a deformed frame, it depicts a beautiful Japanese-style composition of a heron standing in a mountain stream. ・︎Kutani Taisho Era Heron Design Deformed PlateH50/φ270mm29,000 yen
●Photo on the rightA Showa era piece.
Aote Kutani with a cute design of Chinese children playing.
The slightly edgy squares give it a modern design. A favorite series of Maruyama's. ・︎Kutani Blue Hand Karako Square PlateH30/φ140mm4,500 yen

●Back of the photoA piece from the Meiji period. The round crest features classical Japanese patterns and landscapes, creating a slightly modern design. The gold-rimmed upper edge is also a highlight. ・︎Imari Nine Crests Hachi SometsukeH90/φ180mm35,000 yen
●In the foreground of the photoA cool-looking cut glass plate from the Taisho era that is hard to come by these days. It is carved with a butterfly pattern. Perfect for the coming season. ・︎Taisho Glass Butterfly Pattern4,000 yen

In addition to food, this medium-sized plate would also look lovely with a few dried sweets or wasanbon sugar.
The glossy deep green glaze is simple and pairs well with wooden trays and modern items.
●Front of the photoA work from the Edo period. Minpei ware from Awaji Island flourished in the late Edo period. The deep green glaze is beautiful. The dragon motif is a typical copy of Chinese ceramics, but is usually oval in shape,
and this medium-sized piece is rare.

Using an old Kutani design, the dish features a Chinese pattern chosen from a design book. A rare item with an octagonal shape and pattern. ・︎Late Edo to Meiji Era Imari Ware Octagonal PlateH25/φ125mm5,000 yen
