A Magazine Curated By is a unique concept magazine that invites a fashion designer as a guest curator in each issue, exploring their unique worldview. For issue 25, the guest curator is sacai founder and designer, Chitose Abe. The magazine invites contributions from a variety of people close to the designer, including family, friends, artistic collaborators, and fashion brands, to create 200 pages of cultural and creative content.

With a cover featuring a pioneering image in ultramarine blue and content presented in both English and Japanese, the magazine explores the community and high-concept world behind sacai, from a portrait series showcasing an international flair from Tokyo to Los Angeles using #sacaiTHEpeople, to commissioned projects by chefs, industrial designers, architects, artists, writers, and business analysts. From material concerns like minimalist architecture and upcycled industrial design to intangible possibilities like CGI production and AI-powered fashion reportage, Abe channels sacai's collaborative spirit into a strikingly contemporary documentary that approaches hybridity and the brand's core values of "security and betrayal" in different ways.

Incorporating a hybrid mindset, Abe combines contrasting textures—knits and delicate woven fabrics—and reinterprets patterns, transforming clothes into unexpected shapes and silhouettes. While the collection exhibits a feminine touch, Abe's interest remains in creating unique yet timeless garments, innovative and experimental. Inspired by his observations of everyday life and the people around him, his collection subverts and transforms basic, classic pieces to exude a unique elegance. The pieces are suitable for a variety of occasions, not just specific ones.
