UNIQLO will open a joint store with GU, the UNIQLO PARK Yokohama Bayside Store, on April 13th at Yokohama Bayside.

Architect Sou Fujimoto was in charge of concept creation and design supervision for the UNIQLO PARK Yokohama Bayside Store. Aiming for family customers, the store is designed to be "both a UNIQLO and GU store and a park," with a new type of store concept that includes play areas for children on the first to third floors above ground. The sales floor area for Uniqlo is approximately 2,200 square meters (660 tsubo) on the first floor and half of the third floor, while GU's is approximately 1,800 square meters (550 tsubo) on the second and half of the third floor. Items available include women's, men's, kids', and baby's.
In addition to Yokohama, Uniqlo will open new stores in Harajuku and Ginza this spring. All three stores will be "further evolutions of existing Uniqlo stores, embodying LifeWear."
Twenty-two years after the opening of the Harajuku store that sparked Uniqlo's popularity, the new Uniqlo Harajuku Store, opening on April 25th, is a next-generation store that combines the real and virtual worlds. It will be the world's first store dedicated to the "StyleHint" fashion discovery app developed by Uniqlo and GU, called "StyleHint Harajuku." It will carry both men's and women's items. The store will also debut the upgraded "UT POP OUT" sales floor.

"UNIQLO Harajuku Store"
On May 15th, the global flagship store, "UNIQLO TOKYO," will open at Marronnier Gate Ginza 2 in Ginza. The interior and exterior design of the store, which will span the first to fourth floors and cover an area of approximately 4,350 tsubo (approximately 4,400 m2), was undertaken by the international architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron, creating a store that will "change the flow of customers in the Ginza area, which is currently undergoing redevelopment." The store will carry women's, men's, kids' and baby items.
