An exhibition titled "What inspiration comes from - Nobuyuki Matsui x Daisuke Takatomi" by designer Nobuyuki Matsui of the up-and-coming brand Nobuyuki Matsui and glass artist Daisuke Takatomi will be held from February 5th at the gallery space "ART UP" in Men's Creators on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building.
What remains memorable about the Nobuyuki Matsui show held at "Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2020 S/S" in October 2019 is the sound of glass objects hanging from the ceiling clashing together. The source of inspiration for this was Takatomi Daisuke's installation "Nobo no Izumichi."

This exhibition by Matsui Nobuyuki and Takaomi Daisuke is linked to Nobuyuki Matsui's 2020 Spring/Summer season theme, "Water Mirror," and recreates the installation he held at RFWT with clothing scheduled for disposal stitched together using the "Yasashi" technique, a hand-dyed indigo carpet, and countless glass chimes hanging from the ceiling. The space will also feature an exhibition and sale of Isetan Men's exclusive T-shirts featuring Yasashi on the collar and hem.
