These days, the cold weather has me yearning for spring. I'm itching for it to arrive even a little earlier.

Then, the other day, while I was window shopping, a pair of earrings caught my eye. They were from nooca, a brand that makes accessories using plants. They were rectangular, transparent resin cubes containing a single pink rose.


I was captivated by the simple design that's not too girly, and the appearance that is packed with the ephemeral beauty of plants, so I asked to try them on. The rose buds sprouting next to my ears made me feel like spring was coming early, and I couldn't help but buy them on impulse. Their small size made them easy to wear casually, which was also appealing.

There is a wide variety of accessory designs available to match the individuality of the plants used, and I'm already considering getting some other designs. Because they all use real plants, one of the charms is that even though they are the same, there are individual differences in the designs. It's a fun time to choose, carefully examining the differences in bloom and color.

I plan to get through the cold winter that continues, enjoying the early "little spring" I feel every time I look in the mirror.
