UNIQLO x Ines de la Fressange presents Spring/Summer 2020 collection inspired by 1920s Paris

Jan 9, 2020
The 2020 Spring/Summer collection, a collaboration between UNIQLO and Inès de la Fressange, will be released on January 31st.

This season's theme is "1924," the year the Olympics were held in Paris. The 1920s was a time when women increasingly entered the workforce and a free and active style developed. This positive mood resonates with the free-spirited atmosphere and traditional values of Arles in the south of France, where Inès frequently visits, and the collection offers mannish and sporty items with a traditional feel.

Traditional & Stylish Sports Look

Boyish items like cardigans and jersey pants, featuring key colors of white and green, are inspired by the traditional sportswear seen at the 1924 Paris Olympics, a design that still looks stylish today.

Southern French Guardian Style

Styles inspired by the traditional guardian (cowboy) attire of Arles, southern France, are also featured. The collection features a black and white coordination, befitting the region's strong light and shadow. The collection includes masculine pieces such as pants and long shirts with a menswear-like silhouette.

Relaxing dresses filled with sun and breeze

To represent France in the 1920s, when women enjoyed fashion with free-spirited silhouettes, we also feature light and airy dresses with a relaxed silhouette and feminine ruffles and prints.

There are 54 women's items, with price ranges as follows: outerwear from 3,990 yen to 9,990 yen, pants from 3,990 yen to 5,990 yen, skirts from 2,990 yen to 3,990 yen, shirts from 2,990 yen to 3,990 yen, cut and sewn items from 1,500 yen to 3,990 yen, knitwear from 1,990 yen to 4,990 yen, dresses from 3,990 yen to 4,990 yen, and goods from 1,990 yen to 2,990 yen (price ranges are subject to change).
