The LV Trainer, a staple of men's sneakers, debuted on the runway at Virgil Abloh's Spring/Summer 2019 show, marking his debut for the fashion house. Since then, the LV Trainer, incorporating nostalgic basketball shoe lines, has been reinterpreted each season in a variety of color combinations and materials. This winter's limited-edition LV High-Top Trainer comes in nine exclusive city-specific colors, each representing a different city around the world, with a deep purple colorway representing Tokyo being released in Japan. It comes with new colorful shoelaces and a Monogram canvas tag, both featuring white details specially designed for this edition. The Monogram flower appears on the sole, while "LVM," representing Louis Vuitton Malletier, is featured on the tongue.

The upper features the number "408," a nod to Louis Vuitton's birthday, August 4th, and the handwritten letters "Louis Vuitton" are printed near the sole. The sole is made of 20 parts and the upper is made of 106, resulting in a complex manufacturing process. The shoes also feature the Advanced Tech System, which includes shock-absorbing material in the sole.
Other colors available overseas include orange in Chicago, blue in New York City, pink in Milan, baby blue in Paris, sunny yellow in London, forest green in Dubai, turquoise in Shanghai, and red in Seoul.
The limited edition "LV High-Top Trainer" will be available at select Louis Vuitton stores around the world from December 4th, and will be available in Japan at the Matsuya Ginza and Omotesando stores.
