Beneath the archway, specially erected for the show, under which the models strutted, was a reproduction of the traditional thoran, a decorative piece meticulously hand-embroidered by artisans and students of the Chanakya School of Arts and Crafts over a total of 35,000 hours, resulting in a spectacular piece that transcends stage decor.
