Baboni Schilingi is an Italian-born, Paris-based contemporary composer. In addition to composing for orchestras, ensembles, and soloists, he has also created music for installations and video works. "Bodyscore" is a type of performance piece in which musical notation is handwritten directly onto human skin. It is both an act of composition and a painting, with the living body as the canvas. The bodies with the musical notation drawn on them are then photographed in various poses and exhibited as artworks, making it a composite work that traverses the three media of music, painting, and photography.

Baboni Schilingi calls these photographs IDENTIGRAPHIES. Literally translated, the term is "writing of identity (self-identity, uniqueness, individuality)," but each photograph is imprinted with the various artistic choices the artist made in the moment, as well as the consciousness of the artist who made those choices. The poses that Baboni Schiringi has his models adopt are closely related to the music he wants to create, and these poses express the nature of his songs. Baboni Schiringi's music becomes even more expressive when it passes through the medium of the body.
This photo exhibition, "Bodyscore – the soul signature," will feature 30 photographs. Some of the photographs on display will have mechanisms that play music when viewers stand in front of them. Visitors can experience Baboni Schiringi's works using all of their senses, not just their sight and hearing.
