Louis Vuitton has partnered with (RED), a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by U2's Bono and Bobby Shriver of the international NGO DATA, with the aim of mobilizing consumer power and turning it into a major driving force for charity. The Louis Vuitton I (RED) Perfumed Candle (priced at ¥25,000) will support (RED)'s activities. For each purchase, $60 will be donated to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
The Louis Vuitton I (RED) Perfumed Candle was created by the Maison's in-house Master Perfumer, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. Inspired by the color red, the scent features the finest natural ingredients, creating an olfactory experience evoking the emotions evoked by universal values: love, freedom, warmth, and purity. Floral notes of peony, sweet with a hint of pepper, blend with the bouncy, juicy notes of raspberry. Lighting this candle fills the senses with harmony, optimism, and emotional joy. It's a powerful yet nuanced fragrance.

The container was designed by Marc Newson, who transformed the candle into a bold and iconic object. The uniquely shaped handmade white ceramic container features a handle made from tanned leather, the Maison's signature material, for easy portability. The contrast between the milky white wax and the wick, which has been hand-painted in a vibrant matte red, is striking. The metal lid, crafted in a rich, vibrant red, was carefully selected and can be used both as a lid for the candle and as a base for the candle. This red color is also used on the packaging, serving as a visual icon linking the candle to (RED) and the AIDS movement.

The product will be available in limited quantities from October 9th at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and on the official website (louisvuitton.com).
