The Sakaki has unveiled its SS15 visuals.
Last season, theSakaki presented its collection with look visuals featuring models from the entertainment production company "Takakura-gumi." However, starting this season, the brand is moving away from the lookbook format and instead presenting image visuals focused on individual items.
Designer Kotaro Sakaki's intention behind this new initiative is to highlight individual photographs, rather than viewing them as part of a collection like a lookbook, as individual works of art with their own value, like paintings or trading cards.
The visuals released this time feature the double-breasted coat (58,000 yen), the first item for the SS15 collection, which began delivery on February 26th. This is an ultra-lightweight redesign of theSakaki's classic fall/winter coat. Crafted from a cotton-linen material with a unique sheen, it's perfect for Japan's climate. Silk tape piping on the seams minimizes bulk. Available in two colors: beige and green.
