◆Marimekko's first new streetwear line, "Marimekko Kioski," is launched. Pop-up opening at DSMG (8/17 - 9/5)

Marimekko's first new line featuring a streetwear collection has been launched. It will be available for pre-sale at Dover Street Market Ginza.




◆Maison Margiela opens pop-up store at Shinjuku Isetan (until August 20th)

The pop-up store will feature a wardrobe and accessory collection for "gender-conformists" who are not bound by concepts of gender or identity.




◆Photographer Kawashima Kotori's photo exhibition to be held in Shinagawa, alongside poetry by Tanikawa Shuntaro (Until 9/9)

The exhibition will feature approximately 100 monochrome and color works, mainly unpublished works, capturing "countless fragments of the world" that the artist has been capturing over the years. A gallery talk by the artist will also be held on August 31st.




◆Exhibition focusing on visual expression by Polish female artists to be held at Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (Until October 14th)

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Poland, this exhibition will introduce art from Poland, a cultural powerhouse in Eastern Europe, from the 1970s onwards, with a focus on female artists and visual expression. ◆Artist Nakatani Michiko's solo exhibition "Masks of Broad Daylight / Solidifying Night" is currently being held in Daikanyama (until September 1st)

This solo exhibition features a life-size mask relief, a new attempt to "question more deeply the presence and absence of presence," as well as a new series of black transparent resin cubes.
