The "Weathering With You" exhibition, showcasing rare materials from director Makoto Shinkai's latest film, "Weathering With You," will be held from September 25th to October 7th at the Matsuya Ginza 8th floor Event Square.

"Weathering With You," the latest work from Makoto Shinkai, the world's most talked-about animation director, was released nationwide on July 19th, roughly three years after the release of "Your Name." Over the 18 days leading up to August 5th, it is expected to have attracted 4.4 million viewers and grossed over 6 billion yen. The "Weathering With You" exhibition will showcase storyboards, setting materials, drawings, background art, and other production materials, further enhancing the appeal of the film. There will also be an interactive corner where you can learn about weather, an important motif in the film, in a fun way. With the cooperation of the Japan Weather Association, weather phenomena will be recreated using specialized equipment, and actual observation instruments will also be on display, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the world of the film. Original merchandise will also be available for purchase at the venue. To commemorate the exhibition, collaboration menus will be available at the MG Cafe on the 8th floor of Restaurant City and the Utsukushii Naru Beer Garden on the rooftop.
