"Kittens," a new photo exhibition by animal photographer Mitsuaki Iwago, will be held from August 2nd to 26th at the "Eki" Kyoto Museum on the 7th floor of JR Kyoto Isetan.
The exhibition focuses on "kittens" from various regions around the world that Iwago has visited, including Japan, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Africa. Visitors can enjoy approximately 150 photographs depicting kittens' upbringing with parents and siblings, their explorations and adventures with friends, and their interactions with people in each region.
A signing session will also be held at the venue at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM on August 10th. From 10am on the day, participation tickets will be distributed to those who purchase Mitsuaki Iwago's photo book "Koneko" at the venue, and to the first 150 people per session. In addition, a large number of original goods for the photo exhibition will be on sale at the merchandise venue. There will be an array of cute goods unique to "Koneko".
Iwago's cat photo exhibition will also be held in various parts of the country this summer. Sapporo Mitsukoshi in Hokkaido will be holding the Iwago Mitsuaki photo exhibition "Cats and Grandpa" from August 1st to 13th, Fujisaki Department Store in Miyagi Prefecture will be holding the photo exhibition "Iwago Mitsuaki's World Cat Walk 2" from August 2nd to 12th, Niigata Mitsukoshi in Niigata Prefecture will be holding the photo exhibition "Iwago Mitsuaki's World Cat Walk 2" from August 7th to 26th, Ishikawa Prefectural Government Memorial Shiinoki Guest House in Ishikawa Prefecture will be holding the Iwago Mitsuaki mini photo exhibition "Cat's Clock" until August 18th, Daimaru Kobe store in Hyogo Prefecture will be holding the Iwago Mitsuaki photo exhibition "Cats and Grandpa" from August 7th to 19th, Shosha no Sato Art and Craft Museum in Hyogo Prefecture will be holding the Iwago Mitsuaki photo exhibition "Cats and Dogs" until September 1st, and Matsuyama Mitsukoshi in Ehime Prefecture will be holding the Iwago Mitsuaki photo exhibition "Cats in Kyoto" from August 6th to 21st.
