On March 6th, Stella McCartney unveiled her Winter 2023 collection.

The theme of Stella McCartney's Winter 2023 collection is the love between mothers, daughters, sisters, nature, humans, and animals—something Stella loves. Set at France's oldest riding school, Manège de l'École Militaire, the collection features models walking among ponies and horse whisperer and rescuer Jean-François Pignon.

Savile Row tailoring is expressed in boyfriend blazers, tuxedo jackets, and coats with wide shoulders and cinched waists in minimalist silhouettes, some of which are crafted in British check, some in ginger. Pea coats and power-shoulder skirt suits are crafted from luxurious, responsibly sourced wool. A twist on the double-breasted coat, the Bear dress is available in camel and black. Minimalist vests are paired with blazers and banana-cut trousers, offering a modern interpretation of the three-piece suit. Rope details on low-cut black jumpsuits and revealing long dresses echo the beauty of equestrianism and reining. Jacquard, inspired by the spotted pattern of the Appaloosa horse, appears as a curled floor-length coat in black and white.

Double-breasted coats, scarves and knitted capes crafted from long-pile yarn feature earth-toned jacquards inspired by the coat of Stella's first horse, Harmony. Photojacquard polo shirts are adorned with Mary McCartney's work, who inspired the collection. A knitted set featuring a galloping horse in a Forest Friendly viscose and wool blend emphasizes modern appeal.

A black polo and skirt set is adorned with a ginger-colored all-over horse print, while a black fur-free fur jumper features a bold lipstick red horse on the front. Pea coats and knee-length skirts are quilted in the vegan Alter Matte fabric, inspired by horse blankets.

Chain body jewelry, with its 2000s vibe, is reimagined this season in lipstick red and silver, as well as on skinny pants with chain stitching at the waistline. Regenerated cotton denim with a classic wash is paired with navy polyester tailoring to create boyfriend jeans, denim jackets, and long skirt looks. Nostalgia for '90s British youth and music culture is reflected in a tracksuit crafted from black and red recycled polyester yarn and an organic cotton jersey rugby jumper featuring a gold horse embroidery.

A black, red, and white chevron-colored cape knit features a brushed texture and is made from traditional Casentino wool from Tuscany, Italy. The iconic British royal color red appears on tailoring, coats, and lightweight georgette dresses crafted from Forest Friendly Viscose. One-shoulder tops, reminiscent of tuxedo scarves, add an edge to glamorous evening looks. These tops are coordinated with voluminous banana-shaped jogger pants crafted from vegan Alter Matte and Forest Friendly Viscose Satin.

Suits reminiscent of toy soldiers include a cream-colored cropped felted wool jacket, a minimalist vest, and low-rise cigarette pants, all accented with embroidery inspired by Napoleon jackets. Jersey dresses feature cut-out details surrounded by rope, bringing an elegant touch to evening wear. Other pieces feature silver crystal metal ropes framing the skin.

The ready-to-wear collection is rounded off by a natural, minimalist slip dress. The scarf-like ginger and lipstick red canvas is decorated with Linda McCartney's artwork and combines a variety of elements, including chiffon, sequins, and vegan leather Altermatt.
